Electrical Properties

With instant data and big data as a paramount concern, computers and other electronic devices are shifting to higher frequencies. It represents an additional challenge when it comes to specifying the right plastic materials vs. frequencies. DAIKIN supports the electronic devices producers with a full portfolio of polymers having different electrical properties, as well as broad expertise in electronic design.

ABOUT

Why Fluoropolymer have interesting electrical properties?

The electrical stability of fluoropolymers, is due to their symmetrical molecule structure (C2F4)n and the short distance between the carbon and fluorine.

Low relative dielectric constant materials

Fluoropolymers are electrically stable and less sensitive to high frequencies. Fluoropolymers such as PTFE have the lowest dielectric constant and the lowest loss against any plastics. For this reason, they are widely used for applications, such as insulation materials, coaxial cable, robot wiring and printed circuit board.

High relative dielectric constant and low dielectric loss tangent material

DAIKIN innovate with NEOFLON VT-6630 a unique high dielectric constant and low dielectric loss tangent fluoropolymer. This breakthrough in the plastic field, outperform conventional resins and oppose a relative permissivity exceeding 9 εr. NEOFLON VT-6630 fit in miniaturization challenges and is particularly adapted to film for capacitors.

OUR SOLUTIONS

Fluoropolymers

Fluoropolymers are widely used because of their unique non-adhesive and low friction properties as well as their superior heat, chemical and weather resistance and superior electrical properties.

Fluoroelastomers

DAI-EL fluoroelastomer products provide excellent high temperature and aggressive fluids resistance in sealing and fluid transport applications.

Fluoropolymer Coatings

DAIKIN’s fluoro coatings allow for the users to enhance the processability of the products and to impart improved characteristics to the final parts.

Conformal Coating

OPTOACE is a distinctive fluorochemical coating solution that has excellent moisture-proofing properties.

Coating Resins

ZEFFLE Series are designed to meet building and constructions most strict outdoor specifications.

Polymer Additives

DAIKIN's lubricants additives, anti-dripping modifiers, and processing aids allow for the processors and end-users to benefit in compounded materials.

Fluoropolymer Films

Fluoropolymer films provide parts or production processes outstanding chemical resistance, transparency, weather resistance, heat resistance or more functions.

Designing an electronic device in the miniaturization context is made difficult by the variety of system operating.  Beyond the chemical characteristic of the selected plastics, many criteria must be considered such as part thickness, conversion process additive used, etc. The most central measure considered is the dielectric constant. To fit on a broader array of needs, DAIKIN proposes fluoro-based material having low and high relative dielectric constants.
